why the blog title? you don't know this about me yet, but my favourite band of all time is called Something Corporate. it is a huge part of who I am. they have one song called '21 and Invincible' and it has been one of my favourites for a while. as lame as it sounds, I can't wait until my 21st birthday to get to have my facebook status as some of the lyrics from it! so no, I'm not 21 yet. I will be in December and, with the help of my WLS journey, the months until I'm 21 and the year after will be the best of my life :]
why the username? something else you don't know about me yet is that I'm originally from Georgia, but have been going to school in Minnesota for the past two years. well... not for long. I am TIRED of it!! so, come August, I'm moving to a new city (CHI-TOWN, HOLLA!) to start at a new school. this new city, new school and the thought of meeting new people are what finally motivated me to have my WLS.
the start of my Lap-Band journey? well, I don't know. it's all very new to me. I just recently made this decision. but I have an appointment with my PCP this week to get a referral and then we'll go from there. LUCKILY, my dad is a doctor in the area and knows all the other docs. I went through this two years ago with my breast reduction surgery and everything was processed rather quickly. thanks, papa bear!
anyway. this is a short post. just didn't want to be a creep with nothing on my blog. more to come after the meeting with my PCP and err'thing else.
